Bringing Greater Transparency to the Moving Industry
Hiring a moving company requires an enormous amount of trust. You’re allowing a company to handle your belongings, enter your home, transport your possessions across hundreds or even thousands of miles, and potentially collect thousands of dollars in the process.
Yet figuring out who you’re actually hiring isn’t always as simple as it should be.
Certified Safe Movers Association (CSMA) was created to help change that.
Our mission is to provide consumers with an additional layer of research, transparency, and education when choosing a moving company. We investigate movers using available business records, federal registration information, operating history, consumer feedback, complaint patterns, and other relevant information to help consumers make more informed decisions before moving day.
We believe consumers deserve to know who they’re trusting with their move.
The CSMA Full Transparency Standard
Companies that successfully meet the applicable CSMA standards may receive our Full Transparency Badge, which can be displayed on their website to help consumers recognize that the company has undergone the Certified Safe Movers review process.

Moving With a Greater Purpose
Certified Safe Movers believes that a successful move should be about more than simply getting belongings from one home to another. Through our connection with His Vessel Ministry, CSMA is working to connect qualifying consumers with resources that may help ease some of the financial challenges that can accompany relocation.
Customers who book their move with a CSMA-listed moving company may request to have their basic move information submitted to His Vessel Ministry for independent review through its Relocation Reimbursement Assistance Program.
His Vessel Ministry independently determines eligibility and any assistance that may be available. Participation through Certified Safe Movers does not guarantee approval, reimbursement, or financial assistance.
For CSMA, the relationship represents another way to extend our mission beyond helping consumers identify reputable movers. We want to help families approach the entire relocation process with greater confidence, better resources, and meaningful support when it may be available.
